Dodge Challenger And Customer Loyalty

Not a newcomer to awards and praise, the Dodge Challenger has been recognized for its customer loyalty and performance. Basically, people who buy a Challenger stick with it and are happier for owning it. Since so many people are buying one and are happily hanging on to it for years, it comes as no surprise that it should be recognized for the very reasons why customers prefer it.

"It’s barely 2012 and Dodge is still riding the wave of accolades from 2011. We like to think it’s all due to our loyal fans, and according to the Polk Loyalty Awards,( who gave the Dodge Challenger its 2011 Model Year Polk Automotive Award for the Sports Car category) we’re not alone.
The award is based on purchases and lease activity and recognizes “superior performance in owner retention.” In other words, you guys love the Challenger (and truth be told, we do too). It’s one thing to talk about being a fan of a car, but quite another to vote for it with your wallets. For that, we couldn’t be more thankful.
As another testament to yours truly, our loyal fans, we were also recently bestowed the Cars.com Shoppers’ Choice award, given to their shoppers’ favorite car of the year. We’ve already talked about the fierce loyalty you guys have and this one goes in tandem. Based on the actions of millions of consumers at Cars.com – searching for vehicles, contacting dealers about availability, and filling out positive reviews of the vehicle – the Challenger “best represents the voice” of Cars.com shoppers."

Personalize Your Own Dodge Dart

How many accessories can you play with when you get a Dodge Dart? 150. 150 accessories ranging from wi-fi to aerodynamics, from phone chargers to performance brakes. How will you Dart?

"Chrysler is serving up an impressive smattering of Mopar accessories for the 2013 Dodge Dart, including a host of performance parts. All told, buyers will be able to chose from a total of 150 accessories that range from an integrated Wi-Fi system to aerodynamic additions.

Chrysler says the Dart will feature the industry's first wireless charging system for phones and other battery-powered gadgets. Users simply install a device-specific case and lay the hardware in a specific charging zone. The device then gets its battery topped off without the hassle of plugging up wires. Handy. Of course, we're more interested in bits like the available 18-inch wheels and performance brake upgrade, which includes new calipers, rotors and performance pads."

Dodge Dart Debuting In Detroit!

The Dodge Dart (Show in the 'undated' photo above) could skyrocket in the compact car market! Let us know what you think about the new Dart on our Facebook Wall. Until then, enjoy this article from boston.com!

Boston.com:
DETROIT—If the new Dodge Dart sells anything like the original, Chrysler will have the small-car hit it needs.

The reinvented compact, which debuts at the Detroit auto show Monday, is nothing like its predecessor from the 1960s and `70s. But Chrysler is counting on the Dart, and its zippy name, to help it sell more small cars and continue its recent revival.

Instead of the somewhat boxy lines of the original, the new Dart has the sleek stance of a modern muscle-car, with a short hood, long roof and slightly flared fenders. And it's based on the frame and suspension of a crisp-handling Alfa Romeo hatchback brought over by Chrysler's Italian owner, Fiat SpA.

The Dart also is a crucial test of the Chrysler-Fiat alliance, one aimed at saving millions of dollars by reusing Fiat frames, engines and technology, yet giving them an American style with more space for people and gear. The Dart is the first Chrysler designed jointly by the companies.
Chrysler, which ran out of cash and had to be bailed out by the government in 2009, saw sales jump 26 percent last year, and it's poised to turn its first annual profit since 1997.

Now the automaker needs a breakthrough in the growing small-car market, where it hasn't had success since the bug-eyed Dodge Neon in the mid-1990s. After nearly failing, Chrysler also realizes it must end its dependence on inefficient SUVs and pickups.

Since the Neon, few have considered Chrysler compacts, keeping the company out of a market that has grown to about 15 percent of U.S. auto sales.

Forty years ago, it was a different story. Back then, Dodge Darts were everywhere. Middle-class Americans bought nearly 3.3 million between 1960 and 1976, when Chrysler offered versions for every lifestyle: the stripped-down commuter car, convertibles, the family station wagon, and street racers like the Dart Swinger, which came with a racing stripe, hood scoops and a 340-cubic-inch V-8 engine. Sales peaked in 1974 at more than 340,000 when gasoline was a little over 50 cents per gallon and President Richard Nixon resigned during the Watergate scandal.
